Planning: See the Plan and Price Before We Build
Welcome to Planning, step 2 of the Clark & Harper Visions S.P.E.E.D. method. In Strategy we agreed on your #1 goal and scope. Now we turn that strategy into a plan you can see, with pages, actions, a timeline, and a fixed written quote.
Nothing gets built until you approve it. Whether you are planning a small business website in Leander, a new site with AI chat for an Austin team, or automation for a service company in Killeen or Copperas Cove, Planning is where the work becomes concrete and the price becomes clear.
What Happens During the Planning Phase
Planning is where we decide exactly what we are going to build, in what order, and by when. It usually takes about days 2–3 on a website project.
Mapping your sitemap
We map every page your site needs and give each one a job. A services page, a contact page, and a page for each service area all have different purposes. We write down what each page is for so nothing on your site is filler.
Choosing one main action per page
Every page gets a main call to action that supports the #1 goal you set in Strategy. If your goal is more phone calls, your pages point visitors to call. If it is more bookings, they point to your booking form. One clear next step per page keeps visitors from getting lost.
Setting the creative direction and timeline
We set the look and feel for your project and put dates on the work, so you know what happens when. You will also know who on our team is assigned to your design and build.
Your Fixed Written Quote
Before any build work starts, we send you a fixed written quote with a clear scope. It spells out what is included and what is not, so there are no surprises later.
Why the price does not change halfway through
Every package has a fixed scope. If you decide you want something outside that scope, we quote it separately and get your written OK before doing that work. You stay in control of what you spend.
You approve before anything is built
Planning ends with your approval. You review the plan and the quote, ask questions, and sign off. Only then do we move into Execution.
Planning AI, Automation and Virtual Services
If Strategy found tasks worth automating, Planning is where we decide which tools go into your project and how they fit. We only include what you approve.
AI chat on your website
If your plan includes V.I.S.I.O.N., our AI chatbot, we plan where it appears on your site and what it should help visitors with, so it answers questions and hands you leads from your website.
AI phone answering
If missed calls are a problem, we plan how D.I.A.R.A., our voice AI desk receptionist, will answer your business calls and handle common questions.
One dashboard for your business
For owners who want leads, projects, and files in one place, we can plan a M.I.C.A.H. smart dashboard alongside your website.
Planning these tools early means they are built in from the start instead of bolted on later.
Serving Austin, Leander, Killeen & Copperas Cove
Clark & Harper Visions is a veteran-owned web and AI agency serving business owners across Central Texas, including Austin, Leander, Killeen, and Copperas Cove, and clients everywhere virtually.
Planning works well as a virtual service. We can review your sitemap, timeline, and quote with you by phone or video, at a time that fits your work day. If you would rather meet in person in Central Texas, just ask.
How Planning Fits the S.P.E.E.D. Method
Every Clark & Harper Visions project follows the same five phases. You see the plan and the price before any build work starts, and you approve each step before we move to the next. You always know which phase you are in and what comes next.
- Strategy (about day 1): a discovery call, a look at your top competitors, and one agreed #1 goal.
- Planning (about days 2–3): your sitemap, timeline, asset checklist, and fixed written quote.
- Execution (about days 3–10): design, copy, a mobile-first build, and your tools connected.
- Evolution (about day 11): your review, up to 2 rounds of changes, and our launch checklist.
- Delivery (about day 12 or later): launch, Google Search Console, a walkthrough video, your files, and ongoing support.
Timeframes are typical for a website project. Brand, marketing, and AI projects follow the same phases, and we confirm your dates in Planning. The method is the same whether you work with us in person in Central Texas or virtually from anywhere.

What we need from you in Planning
Planning is the step that keeps projects on schedule. We send you a checklist of what we need, with a due date. Usually that includes:
- Your approval of the plan and the quote
- Your logo and brand colors
- Photos of your work, team, or location
- Reviews you are happy to share
- Your hours and phone number
Sending these by the due date is the single biggest thing you can do to keep your project moving.
What you walk away with
- A sitemap with the main action for each page
- A timeline for the build
- A fixed written quote with a clear scope
- A clear list of who does what and when
Next, we move to Execution, where we design, write, and build your project.
